They may be as young as five... but what our junior patients think is very important to us!

So these youngsters have been filmed giving their child's view on how it is on our  paediatrics ward.

It's vital extra feedback for us. Their comments are genuine feedback we have received and will be brought to life through the children's voices for extra impact.

It is hoped the film will be ready to launch on the day of our Nursing Conference on Monday, Sept 18 and will eventually go on the website for the general public to view.

The 1st shoot took place on Sunday (pictured) and is now in for editing. The youngsters are a mix of real patients and junior actors from a local am-dram group.

Our lead nurse for Children's services, Julie Mellor, said: " I would like to thank our team for taking this very new approach to engagement and feedback and making this possible. The aim is to make coming into hospital less frightening and seeing it through the eyes of a child is new and should have great impact.

"I would also thank Nathan Miah - the video expert. I believe he has some wonderful shots so far.!"
