Thanks to lots of hard work - and the patience of colleagues - our newly refurbished Women's Health unit is up and running at HRI. The Pre-operative Assessment Service has also relocated to a stand-alone unit at HRI.

The works were kicked-off when the new Ambulatory Unit moved into Cedarwood.

General manager Gill Harries told us: "Originally the new Women's Unit was going to the old dermatology ward, but we soon realised we needed more space. It seemed sensible for pre-operative to move there and thankfully they agreed.

"Our colleagues in pre-operative assessment have been really patient whilst the work has been happening. I'd personally like to thank them, as well as our estates colleagues who made it all happen."
