Bernie Hepper is safely back in Acre House after a daring charity challenge suspended high over a quarry in Wales.
She took part in the Velocity Zip Wire over the Penrhyn Quarry in Bethesda North Wales.
Her target funding raising was £125 and with family and friends sponsorship they smashed it and raised £211. The hospice provides palliative care for all adult life limiting conditions and needs £7000 a day to stay open.
Bernie said: "Taking part was excitingly scary and exhilarating at the same time. There were safety double checks all the way, with a practice flight on a smaller zip. The weather cleared when my turn came around and they estimated I was travelling at a 115 miles per hour on the day, which would explain the whistling sound of the airflow rushing over my face and across my ears."
