Sister Amy Whitehead and HCA Rachael Chesney are organising a charity race night in memory of  colleague Jenna Greenwood (pictured|).

Jenna, 31,  a healthcare assistant, worked with them on Ward 1 and the Ambulatory Assessment Unit at HRI for eight years. She was a popular member of the team who tragically died a few months ago. Now her colleagues are organising the fundraiser for the Andy's Man Club*, a Halifax-based charity close to Jenna.

Rachael, said: "Everyone remembers Jenna for her smiles. She was so beautiful. We were all devastated."

She added: " She had a hearing aid and used to joke about it as an excuse not hearing the phone at work. She was very popular and this is our way of saying a goodbye to her."

Rachael and Amy, pictured, have already raised £300 and raffle prizes on the night include donations from the Giants, meals out, hair and beauty sessions, physio sessions and meals at the Ropewalks - next to John Smith Stadium -  and Icestones in Huddersfield town centre.

Amy added: "Everyone is welcome to come along and all funds raised will go to the charity. As well as the races (horses will be £2 each) we'll be selling raffle tickets and already have some great prizes. And if you're feeling even more generous you can sponsor one of the races and we'll call it whatever you'd like.

"Rachael and I would love you to come and support us in this amazing night and we're sure colleagues will agree it's for a fantastic cause."
