Roadworks begin next Monday 14 August on the A629 between the water treatment plant at Salterhebble up the road and past the hospital turn-off. The work will be carried out in various stages and the council have said that they will ensure there is clear signage throughout.

The scheme includes widening Salterhebble Hill to four lanes, remodelling the junctions at Dudwell Lane and Dryclough Lane; upgrading each Pelican crossing; installing new traffic light technology and improving facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.
