It's now May -  Action on Stroke Month  - and our teddies continue to blaze a trail across the globe.. and up and down the Elland by-pass! (see pic).

Their recent destinations include Madrid, London and Tokyo and colleagues can follow them around the globe via our Twitter page where there are regular updates Here

The aim is to spread awareness of the symptoms FAST - Face, Arms, Speech and Time - to help people to be able to spot the condition early. to get healthcare intervention. Early intervention is proven to reduce the impact of a stroke.

The cute, cuddly, family were the idea of our stroke teams and are the runaway hit of this campaign.

Co-ordinator Andrea Moore,  said: "It's still quite amazing just how popular the Little Teds are, and how well they've take off, (literally!!),. They always seem to bring a smile to your face. Folks have been quite creative with their photos too, we had so many photos featuring alcohol ( can't think why?!) that we've been able to use the Teds' photos for health promotion posters!!. We're now focussing on healthy diet issues...."

They have their own Facebook site called How Far Can Little Ted Travel and  they're in such a demand that the teddies have to be booked out!

So come on and join in..... only Paddington's ever travelled further!!
