Senior Chief Audiologist, Janet Jackson said: "Gail has been passionate about Audiology and noted for her professional, efficient and reliable approach to her work, always putting the patient first as well as following all our behaviours to the letter. She has been a great team member noted for her tidiness and organisational skills, setting very high standards for all to follow.
"She has been involved in the management of the hearing of many children as they progress through their lives from their diagnosis as a hearing impaired baby, some through to adulthood!
"Gail intends to spend her retirement travelling and spending some time at her house in Spain."
She is also planning to come back on the staff bank.
