Colleagues are being encouraged to wear yellow socks, shoes - like Dr Andy Hardy - or a splash of yellow, next Wednesday 12 July as we promote falls awareness here at CHFT. The engagement support workers are also spending time each day next week "pimping zimmers" - proving Falls Prevention really does get Attention.
Here's a run down of what's happening next week:
Monday
- Stand in main entrance at CRH 9am to 4pm
- 10am to midday - Pimp my Zimmer (ward 8 HRI)
- 2pm to 4pm - Seeing is believing roadshow HRI (various wards)
Team members from physio doing a road show around a number of wards. Colleagues can try on special glasses which mimic visual impairment. This is a good opportunity to remind colleagues about the need for visual assessment, which we want to improve on following our latest audit.
