Commemorative, framed certificates were presented to everyone at a special party for our Health Visitors.
They are transferring to Locala six years after joining CHFT from the then Calderdale Primary Care Trust when community care was reshaped.
Director of Operations for Community Karen Barnett thanked everyone and said she was sorry she had been unable to save the service at CHFT.
She told them: "Thank you for coming today – I know how hard the last few months have been for everyone, including me. You have to know that I personally worked very hard on the bid to maintain HV services within CHFT, and I am really sorry that my best wasn’t good enough.
"I know that each and every one of you will maintain your professionalism and your commitment to the children and families of Calderdale when you work in your new organisation. I know it will be different, but different isn’t necessarily wrong – and I know that Locala will have some great ideas and plans about how to move forward the early years service. Work with them to give the children and families of Calderdale the best possible service you can.
"You have all been amazing through the last few months and today is a celebration – you are all superstars and that is what we are here to celebrate."
100 members of staff moved to their new employer to start the new contract 1st July.
Matron, Jan Ghee, was instrumental in ensuring the safe transfer of services.
As well as the certificate each member of staff received a thank you card and a small gift at the celebration event held at the Learning Centre at CRH.
