Good run up....  and a strong appeal..... Syed Bokhari's looking in peak form ahead of a charity cricket match next month where he'll be swappingscrubs for whites.

The match is between consultants and registrars  from across Yorkshire next month and in the home of Yorkshire cricket, Headingley, in Leeds.

Syed,  who trained as a youngster in Essex under England cricket legend Graham Gooch and Nasser Hussain's dad, Joe, has gathered together the teams for the game at Headingley on July 1 (10-6 pm) for St Gemma's Hospice. (see attached poster)

Syed was with us for six months under Mr Chakrabati and playing with him are CHFT  colleagues Jim Parker, Sudith Ankarath, Govinda Sethi and Bob Metcalf.

Syed said: " I would like to invite  all hospital staff to the Consultants vs Registrars charity cricket match due to be held on the 1st July 2017 in Leeds.

"We are hoping for a great turnout and support on the day for our chosen Charity (St Gemma's Hospice). "

He said if the match was a success then it could develop into a North Yorks v South Yorks event next year.
