Calderdale Recovery Steps and Calderdale Council Public Health team are staging a free event focussing on the use of steroids and image and performance enhancing drugs (IPEDs) in the area.
Recent evidence suggests that steroid use is on the increase. However, there is limited reliable information on this hidden issue. This event will look at -
- The public health impact of steroids
- What support is available locally
- How to minimise harms from steroids
The event will take place at The Basement Recovery Project, 10 Carlton St, Halifax HX1 2AL on Wednesday 28th June between 4.30pm and 6.30pm. Hot food will be available from 6pm with the opportunity to discuss this issue with colleagues from a wide range of sectors including the Council, the NHS, voluntary sector organisations, sports clubs and other statutory bodies.
Please indicate that you intend to come by emailing Ian Walker, Public Health Registrar, Calderdale Council on i.walker1@nhs.net
