Dr Hardy said: "We were pleased that the first Celebrating Audit day was a success and was supported by Owen Williams and Brendan Brown, who came to present the prizes. The judges were impressed by the quality of the three audit presentations and it was a hard choice choosing the winner."
Hazel Preston won and he also sent congrats to the other shortlisted presenters Chia Yau and Emma Van Bentum.
He added: " We hope that this has inspired other doctors in the organsiation to get involved in audit and are looking forward to seeing next year's entries. Thanks to Tracey and Jacky in clinical audit for their support in organising the day."

Dr Hardy said "Clinical audit is a really important element of our work. It's all about looking to improve patient care and outcomes through systematic reviews of care against explicit criteria.
The plans are to make this an annual event, so something to bear this in mind if you are currently planning an audit. The audit team can support you with all aspects of audit work, from planning an audit, through to running data collection and tips on how to present your findings more clearly.
If you would like to find out more about the work of the clinical audit team please contact Tracy Owen (MED), Suzy Daly (S&A), Samantha Saville (FSS) or Dr Andrew Hardy.
