We're offering some gentle stretching exercises similar to pilates as part of the week celebrating International Day of the Midwife last Friday and Nurses' Day tomorrow.
So, if you have the time why not try something different? No need to bring anything with you, it's perfect for total beginners and you'll not come out feeling all sweaty!
Today (Thursday 11 May) in the Boardroom at HRI
1-1.30pm
1.40- 2.10pm
2.20 – 2.50pm
Some lovely stretches to music – helps to relax tense muscles and unwind; it won't be over strenuous.

May is National Walking Month and next week we will be celebrating it here at CHFT.
There are numerous health benefits to walking including improved mood, increased energy, lower risk of heart disease and diabetes, better memory and weight loss – so why not give it a go and encourage your colleagues to do so too?
There will be a display in the main entrance at CRH and two organised 30 minute lunchtime walks – in conjunction with Active Calderdale and West Yorkshire Fire Service. These will be on Tuesday 16 May and Thursday 18 May – both at 12.30pm. Anyone wanting to go, should meet in the main entrance and ensure they have suitable footwear. (Poster attached)
Hospital chaplain, George Spencer has also kindly offered to ‘Walk the Labyrinth’ with colleagues who may want to join him. You can drop-in to the Hope Centre on Monday 15 May anytime from 12 noon to 1pm. Further information about this is also attached.
You could also look at the Active 10 website. The idea is that by doing a Brisk 10 minutes of walking, you will improve your health and wellbeing.
There is always more information available on the Occupational Health intranet pages as well as below.
