Our sexual health team based at Broad Street have already gone live with their own EPR system and they're "loving it" according to general manager Gill Harries.

Gill explained to CHFT Weekly "It was a requirement as part of our new contract that we had to implement an electronic patient record system within a year - and we managed to do it in slightly less time, going-live  on 22 March.

"It was a real team effort, from the nursing teams designing the proformas (templates to gather patient information) to our administrator Andrea Hinchcliffe actually building them into our system and through to a planned approach to go-live".

"I'm really proud of the way everyone has pulled together. The team adopted a “can do” attitude to make sure the EPR* go-live has been a successful and a problem free as possible. Everyone worked really hard and together and they’re starting to realise the benefits to patient care".

*The sexual health EPR system is called IMS Maxims.
