Important changes for those who use the webstation drive in clinical areas such as wards and clinics
For the last two months colleagues from THIS have been rolling out TAP & GO. The computers in these areas have been changed to either be a shared computer (kiosk) or a single user’s computer (workstation). Information previously saved to the webstation drive is currently being moved to a new departmental drive on the shared computers (kiosk), where your department can still access information and documents.
This work supports Information Governance standards, and colleagues will have the correct levels of access to information with their own log-in details.
What is happening and when:
- We’ll continue to move the information across to the relevant departmental drive on the shared computers (kiosks)
- Colleagues can access the new departmental drives with their own log in details or tap and go card
- There is now a new doctors only shared drive called Doctors Confidential where all information from 2017 is available to all doctors on all wards and departments
- All old information (pre-2017) will be converted to read-only
- Colleagues will be able to access information on the old webstation drive for one month on a read only basis. If you need to move information into your new departmental drive please do so before Thursday 18 May after which it will be archived by THIS.

Tap and Go guidance for colleagues
To help reduce calls to the service desk over this busy few weeks we’ve produced some guidance for colleagues. It will help them self-enrol on Tap and Go kiosks and also manage their own passwords. Please see attached.
All changes have been approved by CHFT Information Governance Group.
