Macmillan have filmed our Zoe Allen for their new, short three minute clip about her work with cancer patients and their families. In it she talks about her work specialising in supporting patients with lung cancer.
Here's more about Zoe:
Hello my name is… Zoe Allen. I live in Huddersfield. I have worked for the Trust for five years.
What is your position?
Macmillan Lung Cancer Specialist nurse
Tell us about your career background?

What are the best bits about your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is being alongside patients and families, to help ensure their care is properly coordinated. Sometimes patients just need to know there's someone they can contact if they have any concerns.

Our team being nominated and winning the celebrating success award for putting the patient first.
Sum up your role in three words?
Challenging, rewarding and fulfilling.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Who is your hero/heroine and why?
My hero is my mum because she has taught me to be who I am now. She is a great role model in every way and is a true inspiration.
When you are not at work how do you relax?
I enjoy to go to the gym and spend time with my family and friends. I love going out for nice meals and traveling to new places.
