Our Angiography team from CRH ran 5 KM in the Major Series at Bramham Park, Leeds - and survived a swamp!.
The event which is run by the British Military Fitness and donates some of the funds raised to The Royal British Legion.
Angiography nurse, Cher Maxwell, told us: “It was muddy good fun and everyone left with a huge grin on their face. We had our very own support team with us taking photos and supplying us with Rocky Road at the finish line. The team had been asking what sort of event they could do and I found the major series and it’s a good beginner one to do. Everyone is up for another one now”
“We we’re all a little nervous before the start but within the first 10 minutes we were loving it! The sinking bridge was a particular highlight. A floating bridge with the target of making it across without falling in the muddy water that went up to our necks… we all fell in of course after that there was nothing that could faze us, we relied on each other to get out of the swamps.”
“We recommend more teams getting together to do this as a team building exercise because it was a brilliant day out.”
**To take part and raise funds for charity, teams buy tickets and some of the fee goes to the Royal British Legion.
