Ever thought you'd like a different way to get to work other than using your car? As part of NHS Sustainability Day we'll be focusing on different ideas to travel, including having a bike mechanic to come and chat to colleagues about how to get your bike ready for the spring.
CHFT will be joining other Trusts around the country to promote NHS Sustainability Day 2017. Here's a run down of what's happening and where:
At both sites there will be information on:
Sustainable travel (basically, alternatives to using your car)
Including information about the Corporate Annual Metrocard Scheme for the benefit of colleagues by offering 15% discount on the yearly rate.
A representative from Workforce Development will attend on the day to promote the Cycle to Work Scheme.
Lunchtime walks locally near our hospitals
Recycling
A display on what can and can’t recycled.
Recycling Quiz – Free draw to win a Green Champion’s T-Shirt.
And at HRI a representative from Streetbikes will be with us talk about cycling, along with a mechanic to give advice.
