12 Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENP) from across sites came together for the 5th Continued Professional Development day (CPD)
The day designed for continued professional development and intended to educate and discuss all aspects of examination and management of the patient attending the ED with a minor injury.

ENP/Education facilitator, Juliet Hendrick said “The day continues to prove valuable and was well received by all in attendance. Further sessions in the day were provided by Mr Teifi James Opthalmolgy Consultant discussing Eye clinic referrals and management of a variety of eye problems which present to the ED.
Dr Maneh Farazmand GUM Consultant delivered an informative talk about the current protocol for risk assessment and use of Post Exposure Prophylaxis in patients with possible exposure to blood borne viruses.
Dr Singh delivered a session around XR interpretation of fractures and the team discussed a case review of animal bite injuries and management.
ENP Darren Jones updated the staff on Manchester Triage version 3 changes for which all ED staff are currently receiving training.
