Big congrats to our partners at Huddersfield University.  They’re through to the finals of the Student Nursing Times Awards 2017 as being a teaching provider.

The awards attracted hundreds of entries this year and Huddersfield University has made in onto the final shortlist  of 11 nurse teachers for the finals in London on  April 27.

It's terrific news for our local University.  Our Director of Nursing, Brendan Brown, said: "I’m delighted for our colleagues at Huddersfield University, and hope they are successful in the finals. Getting through to the finals of the Student Nursing Times Awards is a testament to their commitment to developing the next generation of nurses, and I hope we continue to work together in achieving this goal in the future."

Now in their 6th year, the Student Nursing Times Awards aim to celebrate the very best in student nurses and nurse education.

The finals recognise and rewarding outstanding educational establishments and honouring those who are committed to developing new nursing talent as mentors, lecturers and providers of placements. There are also categories for students who have demonstrated the academic achievement, clinical prowess and personal qualities that will make them brilliant nurses.
