What do you enjoy most about it: Meeting patients and their families. Working within an amazing team where we all work together to strive to do what is best for the patient and their family.

 

What qualifications are needed if any: Master’s Degree In Advanced Clinical Practice.  Clinical Assessment Skill Courses applicable to the area of expertise. To be an Independent Nurse Prescriber

 

What would you say to anyone thinking about becoming a Nurse Consultant? Find an area which interests you. Push yourself in gaining knowledge and expertise within the area you enjoy. Do not be afraid to ask and to go see. Apply for jobs in the area of your interest and be prepared to accept a challenge.

 

Most of all; be prepared not to give up on what you aspire to just because someone says it will never happen.
