Just 10 days in and more than 1,400 colleagues are already booked onto their end-user EPR training. (See below to book yours)

REVEAL Research Nurse Diane Appleyard  was the very first and here she explains why it is important to be ready for the switchover in May.

Diane is responsible for running an international research study (clinical trial **) and looks after 169 patients taking part, who she sees on an outpatient basis.

She said: "For me EPR will mean having up-to-date and efficient communications. This trial means my patients are taking statins. At the moment, if they are admitted to our hospitals, I have to put a sticker on the alert sheet in their records. It's easy to miss it or for the alert sheet to sometimes fall out of the file.

"EPR will flag this as an alert so we can prevent accidental double prescribing of statins if any of my patients are admitted".

Diane has been a research nurse for 16 years working in Burnley, Sheffield, North Manchester and Bury before coming to CHFT for the study.
