New Canon printers are starting to be introduced right across the Trust in four phases.
Once the rollout schedule for each phase has been agreed individual areas will be advised of their delivery dates.
As the printers are installed, a CHFT technician and Canon engineer will help staff get started with printing, photocopying and scanning.
Some of the benefits of the new services are:
• The ability to print in any CHFT location
• Improved sustainability by reducing paper, electricity used and the number of toners reaching landfill
• Increased security ensuring confidentiality
• Being able access your print job from any device in any location
• Convenient and efficient scanning process
• Enhanced copying features
As part of the drive for continuous service improvement and to reduce our operating costs, the old printers will be removed once the new ones are up and running.
However, printers in Outpatient consulting rooms will initially be retained. This will be reviewed following deployment of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR).
