Our Trust has appointed Canon (UK) Limited to provide a Trust-wide managed print solution (MPS). This will be achieved through a phased implementation over the coming months.

A managed print solution is an effective way of substantially reducing printing costs, the volume of printing, improving information and data security and enhancing our environmental performance

A rolling programme of visits to clinical and office areas across the Trust is currently being developed.

A member of the MPS project team will inform departments in advance of the auditors’ visits. It may not be possible to guarantee a specific time, unless this has been pre-agreed due to clinical requirements.

Phase one, the audit process will commence later this month at CRH and will involve auditors from Canon carrying out a mapping exercise to assess the current use of existing print, copy and scan devices.  This is referred to as our “current state.”  Phase two, the discovery process, will involve creating a new model, our “future state” and will involve the design of each location.

This is an exciting development for the Trust, and we look forward to working with Canon on the project.
