Arin Saha has joined the Trust as the new consultant in Upper GI and general surgeon.

He studied medicine at Cambridge and completed his basic surgical training in the Yorkshire Deanery. He did his postgraduate surgical research at Leeds General Infirmary and then completed his registrar training at various hospitals throughout Yorkshire, including Airedale, Pinderfields, Doncaster and Leeds as well as two years at Huddersfield.

He said: “ I always wanted to come back to Huddersfield and Halifax because the surgical department works well, is friendly and cohesive and looks after its patients well. I look forward to working here.”

He has been married to Becky, a radiographer at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, for seven years and has a young family, a son Oliver, who is three, and daughter, Isabella, who is 17 months old.

He is a keen footballer and a proud Watford supporter, and likes to watch and play the sport in his spare time.
