Reuben and Jake, both aged 10, joined Brendan’s family in Hepworth in March this year from the donkey rescue sanctuary. They had been moved several times, and needed a new loving and stable (no pun intended) home. They get on well, eat lots of carrots and just love being Mr Brown’s Boys!
Role: My principal role is Chief Nurse, with Board level responsibility (in short) for patient, quality, safety and experience, as well as the professional and staffing agenda for the Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professional workforce.
Deck the Halls or Bah Humbug? Deck the halls – I love Christmas!
Send us a wish for Christmas. You should never disclose what your own Christmas wish is – or it won’t come true. Well, this is what my Mum told me when I was little – has she been lying?
Fave Christmas song/carol and why? Ding Dong Merrily on High
Christmas dinner disaster? I haven’t had any – as I don’t cook. Somebody once asked me how to cook a goose – how I laughed – I can barely do toast.
Best bit about Christmas? Spending time with family and friends. My favourite part of Christmas is actually Christmas Eve. It reminds me of being excited as a child – and a day my parents where always in a good mood.
Fave present ever and why? Holiday to San Francisco - and it was something to look forward to after the Christmas festivities had finished.
If prepared, who would you like to kiss under the mistletoe? Ha ha – there is a long list that I won’t be disclosing. Back in the day I was always up for a session under the mistletoe – but that’s a whole other story...
Big thanks to Brendan – and all our CHFT Advent stars in 2017.
