Role: Manager Acute Pain service - My role is to manage the acute and chronic pain service. I am also a specialist nurse so I see patients in clinic and on the wards to help reduce their pain

Fave Christmas song/carol? It’s got to be Slade, Merry Xmas Everybody – does that show my age? I’ve been singing it for the last few weeks and you’ve made me start again.

Christmas dinner disaster? That would have been at Cub Camp when I burned my hand on the hot chocolate and had to then cook Christmas Dinner for 27. I also forgot the Yorkshire Puddings, the cubs won’t let me forget it – but they ate the sprouts.

Best bit about Christmas? Carols round the Christmas Tree, played by a brass band, with a glass of mulled wine

Fave present ever and why? A cookery course, (it’s not that I can’t cook, I love to cook). It was fantastic to spend a day learning new skills and then getting to try them and it was all stuff I could do at home. I’m hoping Santa brings me another one – hint, hint..
