Our Clinical Site Commander Mary Nolan, Surgeon Graham Walsh and Consultant Mark Davies attended an NHS Champions’ event at Downing Street for the 75th birthday celebration.

The event was a reception for local NHS champions hosted by Rt Hon Steve Barclay, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, who gave a speech thanking us all for our contribution to the NHS.

Mark said: “Inside it was very big and very elegant. The staircase is just like the one Hugh Grant danced down in Love Actually.”

And he added: “We all know the NHS isn’t perfect, but it remains a great organisation which does an awful amount of good for those who need it. I am proud to be one of the thousands of colleagues who continue to strive to deliver the best quality care we can.”
