Health service nurses and midwives across the UK are once again being offered free taxi journeys to and from work and a free meal this Christmas.

Ride-hailing and food delivery company Uber announced that it will provide NHS and Health and Social Care (HSC) workers two complementary journeys worth £10 to or from work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

It is also offering these workers a £10 Uber Eats voucher that can be used on the same two days.

Anyone with an NHS or HSC email address can redeem the offer, which is part of a scheme the company has run each year since 2017.

To qualify, health service workers must link their NHS or HSC email address to an Uber account by 23:59 this Friday, 20 December.

They will then be sent promo codes via email to redeem the free journeys and food delivery.
