Those who work, train, and learn within the healthcare system have the right to be safe and feel supported at work and we shared earlier in the year that CHFT has signed the sexual safety charter.
We aim to tackle unwanted, inappropriate and / or harmful sexual behaviour in the workplace. We all have a responsibility to ourselves and our colleagues and must act if we witness these behaviours.
Should you wish to disclose sexual misconduct, you can speak to your manager, a member of the HR team, a trade union representative, a wellbeing ambassador, or one of our Freedom to Speak up Guardians, Carol Gregson or Caroline Lane.
Should you wish to formally report sexual misconduct, this can be done via the 'Report sexual misconduct' button on the intranet page. You will be asked to disclose your details in order that the HR team can speak to you further. Should you wish to report anonymously, this can be done via the Freedom to Speak Up Portal - see the green button on the intranet homepage or the Working for Us pages of the website.
More information can be found on the intranet: Sexual Safety - CHFT Intranet
Our priority is that our colleagues are safe from harm, and we will ensure we wrap One Culture of Care around our colleagues and provide appropriate support where relevant.
