The thank you messages are rolling in for our volunteers ahead of our Volunteer Appreciation Week next week - and there is still time for you to share your words of thanks, so that our Volunteering Team can pull them together for their events next week.
One came in from our Assistant Director of Transformation and Reconfiguration Programme, Fran Hewitt, which has been written to all our volunteers: "I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all of our volunteers, we could not do what we do without them! Since joining the organisation, every volunteer I have met has greeted me with a big smile and made me feel very welcome. I am sure this goes a long way to making our patients and visitors feel less anxious when visiting hospital."
This week we're interviewing for Meet and Greet volunteers and pictured are some colleagues involved in the process. Left to right are Meet & Greet Volunteers Alison and John Cottam, Volunteering Services Lead Stevie Cheesman, Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service Manager Nicola Greaves and Project Search Intern, Daniyal Kahn.
At CHFT we have 170 volunteers covering:
Meet and Greet Volunteers / Ward Helper Volunteers / Pharmacy Volunteers / Pets as Therapy Volunteers / League of Friends Volunteers / Charity Events Volunteers / Charity Fundraising Volunteers / Cancer Information Support Volunteers / Radio Volunteers / Chaplaincy Volunteers / Stroke Association Volunteers / Children and Young People Volunteers / Experts by Experience Volunteers / Patient Safety Partner Volunteers and Breast-Feeding Peer Support Volunteers.
