If public transport is unavailable on the dates below, please arrange your own travel and reclaim through expenses. This is a change to previous years when a central booking form was sent by managers to local taxi companies, Mount and Ziggy’s.
We have made this change as in the past we have paid for journeys that were booked, but not used, so this option supports better use of NHS finances. We are the only Trust in West Yorkshire to offer reimbursement of travel over the Christmas period.
Here’s the small print:
The dates and times that apply are:
- Christmas Eve after 6pm
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
- New Year’s Day
Please note that only travel booked on the dates and times above will be approved. Please make sure you keep any receipt for your claim as we can’t reimburse without it.
The information about reclaiming expenses is on our intranet. Our Taxi Policy has been updated and from this year we will let colleagues know in advance of Christmas arrangements.
