Director of Operations Tom Strickland and Clinical Operations Managers Amy Sheddon and Emma Mooney all recently attended a celebration event for the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) accreditation programme for elective surgical hubs.

The event was hosted by GIRFT and provided an opportunity to recognise the implementation of accredited surgical hub programme. Our team found it helpful to network with other trusts to understand different approaches to delivering elective services.

Tom, Amy and Emma presented at the event the successes of accreditation at CHFT's surgical hub. Amy and Emma job share the clinical theatre improvement role and were dubbed the "Dynamic Duo from CHFT!"

Tom said: "Amy and Emma are a fundamental part of CHFT's approach to theatre improvement. Through their leadership, they have successfully created an inclusive environment for all the different staff groups in theatres to work together to try and improve the care we provide to our patients."
