Refurbishment work is taking place next week to update and decorate areas of HRI's Hope Centre to improve the chapel and prayer rooms for patients, colleagues and visitors.
The chapel in the Hope Centre at HRI will be closed from Monday, 25th November and will re-open on Thursday, 28th November. The quiet room and prayer room will still be accessible during this time. During the refurbishment the female prayer space will have a new acoustic curtain installed to make it a more private space.
The week after, works will happen in the lobby and quiet room of the chapel. This does mean that between Monday, 2nd December and Wednesday, 4th December there will be no access to the chapel or prayer rooms. These areas will re-open on Thursday, 5th December. Unfortunately there isn't an alternative prayer room to use during this time, though the teams have tried to be mindful with the refurbishment dates and aim to have the space available again in time for Friday prayer. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
As part of the works taking place in the lobby area of the Hope Centre, the quiet room will be made into a Chaplaincy Office to ensure that there is a Chaplain visible to provide support to individuals who use the chapel.
