The West Yorkshire and Harrogate Local Maternity and Neonatal System (WY&H LMNS) has launched a series of short films to help future-proof and diversify our local maternity services. Our Midwife, Tara Miller, has a cameo role in one film.

The films aim to promote the breadth of maternity roles available and to provide information on how to choose a career in maternity care. They have been launched alongside a new website which hopes to inspire people - whether that's someone thinking of starting their first career or looking for a career change.

Through the film, the LMNS shines a light on the positive culture, career progression opportunities and the many ways a career in midwifery can help someone to develop professionally and personally.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals Midwife, Maria, is featured too. She said: "I pinch myself every day that I’m paid to work my dream career. I hope other like-minded people see this film and take that leap and join us in creating a positive future for midwifery.”
