World Kindness Day is this coming Wednesday, 13th November. To help mark the day, you can still share your thanks with a colleague - as our Shining Star nominations, set up as part of Colleague Appreciation Week, are running to the end of November.
Lead Cancer Manager, Maureen Overton, recently shared her thanks to Cancer Pathway and Performance Manager, Zoe Smithurst, writing: "Zoe is highly patient-focused and when training her staff or within her daily work she always puts the patient at the centre of her actions and thinking. She always remains positive when times are very difficult, and she picks us all up with her hard work and enthusiasm.
"I feel that when you are not "frontline" seeing patients, it can be easy to see patients as numbers rather than people, but Zoe never does this and my thanks for this goes out to her.
"Keep going Zoe. What you do is vital for patients, their relatives and carers. I am sure they would all thank you, as I do."
If you would like to nominate, and also be in with a chance of winning a £30 gift voucher for you and the colleague you nominate, then why not fill in a Shining Star nomination? You'll find it on the Colleague Appreciation Week intranet page.
