Critical Care and Professional Lead Dietitian Karen Turkington, Dietitian Simone Kenney, Assistant Practitioner Shamila Tufail and Apprentice Dietitian Sheryl Sutcliffe all recently attended a Food Gathering Event hosted by Calderdale Food Network.

The purpose of the event, which took place in Halifax Market, was to showcase what the dietitian teams at CHFT do with the Calderdale community. The team were also able to meet individuals, groups and organisations who are working in our region to establish a sustainable food system to collaborate. The event provided an opportunity to share ideas and celebrate positive actions and to add our voice to the Calderdale Good Food Movement.

Karen said: "It was a pleasure to be invited to the food gathering event to have the opportunity to engage with the public and to meet with local suppliers and hear about the initiatives in the Calderdale area."
