Calderdale Cares alongside Upper Calder Valley Primary Care Network and local service providers, are inviting the public to a special Community Connections Event on Monday, 6th November from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Todmorden Health Centre.
This welcoming event offers a wonderful opportunity for local residents to meet with a variety of local services, gather valuable information and enjoy a relaxed afternoon over a free hot drink and a piece of cake. In a warm and friendly environment, the event aims to create a space where people can come together, connect with their neighbours and learn more about the support available to them. Whether you’re looking for advice, interested in what support is available in your community, or simply want to enjoy a chat in a safe, inclusive space, this event is for you! Local services will be present to answer questions, provide information and engage with you as part of ongoing efforts to develop an Integrated Neighbourhood Team in the Upper Calder Valley. They are eager to hear from you, listen to your needs and strengthen community connections.
An Integrated Neighbourhood Team is a group of local professionals and services who work together to help people in a specific area. Instead of everyone working separately, they combine efforts to offer better, more coordinated care and support to people. This team makes it easier for local people to get the help they need in one place, whether its healthcare, social services or community resources. The goal is to improve well-being and ensure everyone gets the right support at the right time. The event is a great chance to build relationships with local support services and make meaningful connections in a relaxed setting – plus it’s free, and everyone is welcome.
Chief Executive Calderdale Council, Robin Tuddenham, said: "Let this be an open invitation to the local community to come along and see the fantastic services on offer in the Upper Calder Valley and how they are working together to form a Neighbourhood Team – not to mention a chance to enjoy a hot drink and homemade cake.
“Our overall vision is for people and services to work better together to support local people in a seamless way, which is so important for the future and key to helping us achieve the goals of our Calderdale Cares Wellbeing strategy.”
Dr David Burley, Clinical Director for the Upper Calder Valley Primary Care Network said: “We want everyone living in the Upper Calder Valley to feel safe and supported, and with so many services available to them, our aim is to enhance the way they work together to ensure coordinated care that truly benefits people’s health and wellbeing - this event is just the start!”
