A range of colleagues have engaged with patients, carers and other colleagues to understand what person-centred care means to people and to capture why it is so critical to providing high-quality care and a positive experience.
This has led to the development of a shared definition of what person-centred care at the Trust means, and a promotional video.
The captions within it have all been informed by patients, carers and colleagues. Many settings and staff groups feature as person-centred care is a critical component of all our roles, and in every area of the Trust.
Here's what some of our external partners have said about the video:
"It's great covers, all settings and the quotes really add to the depth as they come from real people" (National Institute of Clinical Excellence)
"It's really lovely, and we'll be sharing it" (Calderdale Local Authority)
"The breadth of staff taking part, and taking the time to interact with patients is really special to see" (HealthWatch)
"Wow! Can we include it in our Quality Report for West Yorkshire?" (Integrated Care Board)
You can watch the video on our YouTube channel. For more information on the person-centred care workstream see the Experience of Care intranet pages.
