Over the last few days we have seen increasing numbers of patients in our hospitals. Over the weekend we opened all our additional beds and our emergency departments have been very busy. Our OPEL (operational pressure escalation levels) have been stepped up to support teams with actions and decision making to try and reduce pressure and support discharges and we are standing down non-urgent meetings.

The number of patients and staff with Covid or other respiratory illness has also increased. If you have any symptoms but feel well enough to work, you do not need to take a test, but you must wear a mask and ensure your space is well ventilated. This applies to both clinical and non-clinical colleagues working across the Trust.

And as a reminder you can have your flu and Covid vaccines at our dedicated clinics.

Clinic information

Times: Weekdays until Thursday 31st October between 08:15 and 17:45

Locations:

  • The HRI vaccination clinic will be taking place in our Integrated Flow Hub, which used to be the location of our old A&E. The clinic is best accessed from the old walk in entrance on North Drive. Turn left after the main reception, go through the double doors and then turn left again.
  • At CRH the clinic will take place in the old Rainbow Centre. This is now where our Orthopaedics Clinics are based, but the team are kindly allowing us to use two rooms. The Family Room will be clinic waiting area and the Green Room will be the vaccination hub. Both are accessible via the glass corridor entrance to keep disruption to the clinic to a minimum.
