Vehicles are not able to access the Calderdale Royal Hospital site via Dryclough Lane for pick-ups and drop-offs this week, as part of planned construction works for our new 800-space multi-storey car park.

The turning circle in front of the main entrance is now closed for five days to allow essential enabling works for the construction of our new multi-storey car park. It will reopen on Saturday 28th September. A map showing the turning circle’s location is attached and is also on our website.

Pedestrians will still be able to access the hospital’s main entrance via Dudwell Lane. Visitors wishing to drive onto site to pick up or drop off a loved one should use the alternative entrances via Dudwell Lane and Godfrey Road, where 30 minutes free parking is available.

In addition to providing much needed additional parking on site, once finished the multi-storey car park will also free up space to allow for future development of a new adult and children’s accident and emergency department and new inpatient wards, which is expected to be completed by 2029.
