Training for the Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) is available for all ward colleagues. Please make sure you have completed your training as all patients admitted to hospital should have a nutritional assessment (MUST) completed.

The training usually takes around 20 minutes and can be arranged for either your ward or for individuals. Please contact Dietetic Assistant Practitioners, Aminah Ziarab or Shamila Tufail, to arrange training.

If you would like more information, the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN), is a charitable incorporated association that raises awareness of malnutrition and has a large resource centre dedicated to MUST. This includes booklets, MUST calculators and MUAC/Ulna calculators.
