Physiotherapist, Hollie Wood, is taking part in the Great North Run this week to raise awareness and money for The PSP Association.

The PSP Association is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). Hollie wanted to run in memory of her nan, Isobel, who died earlier this year due to PSP.

Hollie has been training through all the ups and downs this journey has brought her. She sustained an injury at the end of last year but is now back on track thanks to our wonderful physiotherapy outpatient department. She won't be facing this challenge alone, as she's recruited her friend, Freya, to join in the 13.1 mile route from Newcastle to South Shields.

This is Hollie's first half marathon, and we want to wish her all the best for Sunday! Her fundraising page can be found here.
