CHFT's Pride Parade will be marching their way from HRI's flagpole to the new Wellbeing Garden on Friday, 30th August at 12:00.
Everyone is invited to attend and to wear their most colourful items of clothing in celebration. The group will be meeting at the flagpole outside of the main entrance at HRI. Last year's event was a huge success and was enjoyed by colleagues from all over CHFT. This year we want to celebrate with even more of you. So grab your rainbow socks and get ready to sashay your way down the drive in support of Pride.
Pride Network Chair, Naomi Roberts, said: "Pride parades remain important as vibrant expressions of the LGBTQ+ community's visibility, resilience, and continued fight for equality. These events serve not only as celebrations of identity and love but also as powerful reminders of the struggles and injustices that many still face worldwide.
"By gathering in solidarity, participants and allies affirm their commitment to fostering inclusivity and challenging discrimination. Pride parades also educate and inspire broader society, promoting acceptance and understanding while advocating for the rights and dignity of all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity."
