We are delighted to tell you that Julie O’Riordan, will be joining us as Deputy Medical Director from Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, where she is currently Acting Medical Director. Julie previously worked at the Trust, most recently as Surgery and Anaesthetics Divisional Director.

CHFT’s Medical Director, David Birkenhead, said: “This is great news for our Trust. Julie’s skills, expertise and knowledge will compliment that of our current Deputy Medical Director, Neeraj Bhasin, who will step up into the Medical Director role when I retire in October.

“Prior to moving to Airedale, Julie held several clinical leadership positions across different divisions at CHFT, and I know that colleagues will give her a warm #TeamCHFT welcome.”

Julie said: “I am really excited to be coming back to CHFT. Having been a Consultant and having various medical leadership roles there for 20 years it is great to be coming back after almost four years at Airedale. I am looking forward to seeing many friendly faces when I return!"
