Ward 19 patient, Eryl Whiteley, has been so impressed with the care she’s received recently that she’s written a song - and her partner Clare has recorded it to show their thanks.

The song is called 'Silent Heroes', and when Clare put it on YouTube she wrote: “The past two weeks have been a trial with Eryl breaking her leg in Huddersfield and needing an operation to fix it. She wrote this song dedicated to all the NHS staff who have helped her so far on her journey. Thank you all so much for your support, it means the world to us, and we are so grateful.”

Eryl shared it with Sister, Aimee Justice, writing: “Here’s a song that Clare and I have written to thank you for all the amazing care I have been given. I am truly grateful to you all.”

Aimee said: “I wasn't surprised that our team had amazing feedback, but it was quite a surprise as Clare lives up in Scotland - so clearly Ward 19's care goes much further than HRI's walls.”
