With more people expected to survive cancer for five years or more, our Cancer Management Team are pleased to have launched their 10-year Strategy.

Lead Cancer Nurse, Caroline Summers, said: "The Strategy sets out our ambitions on what we aspire to achieve for CHFT, our, patients, partners, carers and the public.

"It includes a roadmap of how we plan to get there. It reflects key ambitions in the NHS Long Term Plan for Cancer which estimates that by 2028, 55,000 more people each year will survive their cancer for five years or more and 75% of people with cancer will be diagnosed at an early stage (stage one or two).

"The ambitions will be delivered in a way that improves quality of life outcomes, improves patient experience outcomes, reduces variation and addresses inequalities."
