Community Matrons, Jayne Duffy (left) and Sarah Wilson (right), took part in The Big Sleepout last Friday - vowing never to take their beds for granted again.

The sleepout was in aid of the Happy Days Charity and was held at Dean Clough in Halifax.

Sarah said: "It was a tough night - so uncomfortable and cold. Made us very grateful to go home to a hot bath and bed!

"We run the wound clinic twice a week and see what the side effects are from rough sleeping. We wanted to raise awareness and money to support people who have less than nothing. We will never take our warm beds for granted again!

"There were around 30 of us in total and we've helped to raise £24,000, which is amazing."
