We launched our Nursing and Midwifery Strategy: Time to Care, three years ago. So, it’s a brilliant time to celebrate all the progress and achievements in CHFT’s first-ever Nursing and Midwifery Conference.

Associate Director of Nursing , Andrea Dauris, said: “We made a commitment as part of the strategy to bring nursing and midwifery colleagues together to celebrate our success and share best practice. We have some fantastic speakers lined up and an exciting programme of events.

“We’ve also deliberately scheduled the conference for Friday 19 May – just after two milestone days for our colleagues; International Nurses’ Day (5 May) and International Day of the Midwife (12 May).

“We’re holding it at the University of Huddersfield. They are an important partner for CHFT and we’re working more closely than ever with them to support the nursing and midwifery workforce of the future.”

Spaces have been allocated to each division. If you’d like to attend, please contact your Associate Director of Nursing:

  • Community: Elizabeth Morley
  • Families and Specialist Services: Simon Riley-Fuller
  • Medicine: David Britton
  • Surgical and Anaesthetics: Rachel Rae

Chief Nurse Lindsay Rudge will officially open the day with the Dean of the School of Human & Health Sciences, Nick Hardiker.

We’re delighted that the Chief Nurse for North East and Yorkshire, Margaret Kitchen will be joining us.
