Consultant Karol Rogawski has shared a massive thanks to all the positive messages he has received since his retirement was announced in last week's CHFT News, and on the Trust's social media channels.

Here he is pictured middle with "[his] best colleagues in urology". They are Mr Julian Somerville, left, the first urology consultant in Halifax between 1985 to 2005, and Siva Namasivayam, our first ever urology registrar in Halifax from 1998 to1999, who took a post of a urology consultant after Julian Somerville between 2005 to 2019.

Karol said: "Practically, there is 10 year gap between each of us. Each of the three of us has contributed to urology in Halifax and it is an end of an era."

He added: “I have had happy times working at the Trust and I shall miss it - but being on the bank will keep me in touch with the people.”

He plans to spend some time on bank before travelling and enjoying retirement full-time and thanks his secretary Sue Wood for planning his retirement.
